Requesting a Room Booking

During your time in the Bader Lab, you may require access to the Seminar Rooms in the Donnelly Centre for general lab meetings, committee meetings, qualification exams, and other various reasons. Please follow the steps below to ensure the appropriate room for your needs is booked.

Determine the kind of room you need

There are 7 Rooms available in the Donnelly Centre.

Most meetings should be booked in any of the Upper Floor Meeting Rooms. The Black and White Room are also available fairly often. However, the Red Room is normally booked for large events and conferences, so it's availability is limited.

Request the Booking

  1. Contact Patrick Scopa (patrick.scopa@utoronto.ca) as early as possible. Room availability will vary depending on the time of year. Please try to make your booking at least a week in advance to ensure there is a room available.

  2. Send the email to Patrick with the following information: Date & Time, Estimated Number of People Attending, Primary Room Choice, Alternate Room Choice, Meeting Details (Type of event).

  3. Wait for a confirmation email by Patrick (he should respond within the next business day) to determine if your booking was made.

Meeting Preparation

  1. Obtain a Room Key for the appropriate room from the front desk in the Admin Office on the 2nd Floor (Room 230) To be best prepared, obtain the key at least 30 minutes before your meeting time.

  2. Determine the type of Audio-Visual connection your presenter requires. The Upper Floor Meeting Rooms all have input connectors for HDMI and VGA in the rooms. Spare Mac Adapters may also be present in the room. However, spare Mac Adapters, DVI connectors and other adapters are also available at the front desk in the Admin Office on the 2nd Floor.

  3. If you are unsure your laptop will hook up to the projector or TV correctly, ask the front desk in the Admin Office to visit the room the day before or 15 minutes early to ensure your connection works.

  4. Make sure to return the key to the room back to the Admin Office when you are finished, or at your next available convenience (if your event ends after hours) to be fair to all Donnelly occupants.
